I got this recipe from my father-in-law many years ago. This was one of his specialties and I love it so much.
He mixed up the crust ingredients and then rolled it out. He made a bottom layer, added the filling, and then put a top layer of crust. I just pat out the crust. It's quicker and easier, but feel free to roll out the crust if you want to.
